rchan hosts content submitted by its users; it does not pre-screen posts and is not the author of user content. We operate on a notice-and-takedown basis: material that is unlawful under UK law is removed promptly once we are made aware of it (consistent with Regulation 19 of the Electronic Commerce (EC Directive) Regulations 2002).

• Posting pornography is not permitted.
• You will not upload, post, discuss, request, or link to anything that violates local or United Kingdom law.
• You will immediately cease and not continue to access the site if you are under the age of 18.
• You will not post or request personal information (“dox”) or calls to invasion (“raids”).
• Quality of posts is extremely important to this community. Contributors are encouraged to provide high-quality images and informative comments.
• Do not upload images containing additional data such as embedded sounds, documents, archives, etc.
• Always argue in good faith and avoid personal attacks.
• Do not post child pornography or questionable 2D/3DCG/3DPG sexual depictions of children. This includes “child models”, “3000-year-old demons”, and similar workarounds.
• Pornography is banned. If adult content must be posted, spoiler any NSFW content and make sure it is relevant to the discussion.
• Global rules apply to all boards unless otherwise noted.

If you break the rules your post will be deleted. Repeat offenders will be banned.

Remember: The use of rchan is a privilege, not a right. The rchan moderation team reserves the right to revoke access and remove content for any reason without notice.
